New Digital Publishing Platforms
In a world that is more dynamic than ever, changes are occurring at a rapid pace. The latest arena where technology has made a huge impact is the Publishing sector. With people moving from desktops and getting comfortable with palmtops, laptops, iPad and Smartphones no wonder digital publishing is rapidly evolving just like their audience.
The giants of social media like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are becoming more active than ever and sharing news on their platform to keep their audience hooked. For that matter, even Snapchat - which is famous among the teenagers, introduced a new initiative called Discover. The aim of this feature is to get a platform for big companies like CNN, National Geographic, Cosmopolitan and others to get their content among the youth all around the world who are more interested in short videos and infographics than reading bulky content on the Web, daily.
What is new with Facebook, Apple and Twitter?
In May this year, Facebook put the grapevine on news distribution at rest when they started Instant Articles. Now, you can get all the news content from BuzzFeed, The Guardian and The New York Times directly on your news feed. Be it Android or iPhone, all the content is optimized for your Facebook feed and you get a comprehensive data all day round right on your phone. With mobiles being the top choice with people to open their news feed, the top News Publishing companies make it a point to give you a customized feel.
With digital publishing gaining popularity, these News Publishing companies even get to put up their own ads and keep all the revenues for themselves.
Even Apple has made all the efforts to stay ahead in this long drawn battle to conquer the news content via digital publishing. The conventional news app - Newsstand has been replaced by Apple News which is both stylish and user friendly. Its interface is customized for Apple users and the flipboard-esque style is impressing readers all around the world.
After seeing a slight decline in its growth figures last year, Twitter was quick to buckle up and it launched its new feature Moments. The aim of this is to curate and bring all the important news around the world at one place right from the sports, entertainment to breaking news.
Mobile takes the center stage
With more people being glued to their phone all day long, it won't come as a surprise to say that most of the digital content that publishers are aiming to produce is mobile-centric. Researches have already stated that around 39 of the 50 digital news website had faced more traffic on their mobile websites rather than their desktop websites.
The example of the top digital news website which saw more mobile traffic includes the Huffington Post, USA Today, and New York Times. Right from the Paris attacks to the recent Orlando shooting to the yesterday's breaking event of Brexit, people are following everything on their mobile and not their desktop. So, not only has digital news publishing become important, they are growing through mobile apps.

Simple Tips To Identify Fake News Stories Before Sharing
The growth of the internet and social media has made it very easy for fake news stories to proliferate. Whereas some sites are intentional in writing false, but humorous stories, there are some sites that work hard to pass themselves as real and others only see to peddle salacious false tales just to drive traffic and enjoy ad revenue to the sites.
Social media on the other hand makes it very easy for people to spread the misinformation which at the end of the day brings about lots of confusion. It is important to try and verify how true a story is before sharing. Below are a few pointers that should raise an eyebrow that the story you are about to share is fake to save you the embarrassment when the truth comes out.
1. Missing links, references, citations and author
One of the most obvious red flag when it comes to fake news is missing links and references to help you validate the information shared. Popular sites may miss references and citations, but most other sites will have them. You may also find that the name of the author is the story is missing or if it exists, you can't find anything credible about the author when you do a search on them.
2. The news source has a reputation of shadiness
Where you get news stories should guide you on whether they are true or likely to be fake. The reputation the source of news has can say a lot about its credibility. If a source is known to constantly spread fake news, then it is highly likely that the interesting story you are about to share is fake. Most news stories from such sites or sources will seem just as incredulous when you take a look at them.
3. No other site or news source carries a similar story
If you can't seem to find anything similar from reputable new sites and websites even though the story seems to be hot news, then something is definitely wrong. Failure in finding anything similar should tell you that the author never did any research or is simply sharing their personal opinion on a given topic and not factual news.
4. Grammatical and spelling worries
Reputable news sources take their time to go through the texts and to actually edit as appropriate before posting them. They actually have proofreaders whose work is to correct all grammatical and spelling errors present. An author who is hastily posting information will not have the time to go through the text over and over to make such corrections. If you keep noticing errors as you go through the text, you are most probably dealing with a fake story.
5. Mismatch between headline and article content
The headline persuades you to believe before you even read and also tells you what the story is about. Fabricated headlines are there to attract attention, but it is best to read through the content before believing. Most fake stories will have mismatching details between headline and the content you actually get.
Fake news has a way of spreading fast, especially considering that most come with alarming headlines. Verify how true a story is before sharing.

The Fastest Way To Start A Profitable Online Business
Get The Best Education Online
Firstly I would start by getting the right education online. That's easy to say when you have found a good mentor. It's much more difficult when you are being bombarded with information from various different sources. There's an overwhelming array of information on the internet. When you start looking for ways to earn from the internet, you will be bombarded even more with all the 'best' ways to build your internet business.
There are two trains of thought when it comes to making money. You can build content and rely on Google and other search engines to rank your business. This is very tentative. Suppose Google doesn't like you or your content. You're not going to rank in this case. This means no traffic. Even if you do rank your content on Google, things can always change. Google can change. Ultimately they don't want you making money from them, unless they are making money too! Google is a business and like all businesses their goal is to make money, not friends.
Don't Rely On Google's Organic Listings
Use Google and create content. But don't rely on your blog to make you money. You can be disappointed over and over again, as I was. I'm not saying only to use paid advertising. Use your content too. Just don't rely on it. As for paid advertising, you need a product which sells first. You need to know your business model works. You need a good back-end of products and services which will keep paying you over and over for existing customers. This is something I didn't understand when I started out.
Use Back End Products
Back end products are often the way to make money online. You may break even on your front end products, or even make a loss. However, if you have a good range of back-end products in your sales funnel, you can make money later on. When you have a profitable sales funnel like this one, you can afford to use paid advertising. But make sure you test and measure first with a small budget. Don't spend money you can't afford to lose in the first instance.
Test And Measure Advertising
Your advertising might fail. Expect it to at first. Only by testing and measuring can you reliably scale up your advertising campaign. And only when it is profitable should you do so. Once you have an advert which produces a good return on investment, you can scale up.
It's Up To You
Everyone likes the idea of owning their own business. But not everyone has the discipline to follow through with it and make it a success. You are always responsible for your results and no-one else! It can be easy to get distracted when working online. Avoid being a 'busy fool'. That is, avoiding the important to do the unnecessary. This is easy to fall into when you work for yourself.
Money Producing Activities
As an online marketer, you are paid for results, not time spent. This means you need to make everything you do create forward momentum. Concentrate on money producing activities and don't spend time on things which don't move your business forward.
Focus On One Thing At A Time
There's a tonne of activities you can do online. And then there are all the distractions too. Avoid looking at emails and social media. It will only distract you. Write a 'to do' list before opening your laptop and prioritize them in order of importance. Avoid jumping from one course to another online. I did this for some time. Before I cold make progress in one direction, I had found another 'system' and set off on a tangent. Find something which works for you and keep going.
It's Not Easy
Remember an internet business is not easy. Like any business you need to work hard and consistently for a long period of time before you see results. If you're not prepared to do this have a long think about whether this is for you. I expected faster results in most of the systems I tried online. I failed over and over again until I found something which worked. Don't give up too easily because those who stick it out can make a lifestyle business which means never having to work for anyone else again! This is worth fighting through all the difficult times for!
Tough Times Are Ahead
There will be tough times. You will struggle and want to quit. Don't give up too easily. When you feel like this take some time out and charge up. One good thing about an internet business is that it can be very forgiving. You can always start again. Keep learning and developing yourself and looking into your actions and results. Don't keep doing something if it isn't working. Keep trying new things and eventually you will progress. Remember to keep investing in your knowledge. Your actions always come from this knowledge. Invest in joining a community who you can go to when things get tough. It's much wiser than trying to do everything by yourself. Remember, you are the glass ceiling of your business. Your knowledge, of lack of it, will either help your business grow, or limit it. Never stop developing yourself and your knowledge of what you are doing.
